Georgia Office of Student Achievement Grants

The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) strives to increase student achievement, school completion, and life opportunities for all Georgia students. One way they work to achieve this vision is by identifying, supporting, and sustaining educational innovations that align with the Governor’s education priorities . As part of their mission, they provide grants to schools and nonprofit organizations whose initiatives are aligned with GOSA’s vision and mission.

If your organization is planning, implementing, or scaling radically innovative programs that address our most significant education challenges, then you may qualify for one of these grants. The application deadlines are quickly approaching so check out these great opportunities TODAY!

ACCELERATOR GRANT$10,000 for 1 year

Who is eligible?

LEAs, RESAs, traditional public schools, or charter schools in the state of Georgia

Priority Areas

  • Applied Learning with a Focus on STEAM Education
  • Birth to Age Eight Language & Literacy Development
  • Blended & Personalized Learning
  • Teacher & Leader Development for High-Need Schools

IMPLEMENTATION GRANT - $200,00-$700,00 over 2.5 years

Who is eligible?

LEAs, RESAs, traditional public schools, or charter schools in the state of Georgia

Priority Areas

  •     Applied Learning with a Focus on STEAM Education
  •     Birth to Age Eight Language & Literacy Development
  •     Blended & Personalized Learning
  •     Teacher & Leader Development for High-Need Schools

Additional Criteria

  • Have a proven track record of successfully targeting the root cause of a challenging and complex problem by utilizing breakthrough, rarely-before-seen approaches to education;
  • Disrupt existing structures and systems;
  • Have the potential to permanently transform education;
  • Can be objectively evaluated using a comparison group of students, teachers, or leaders; and
  • Are strongly aligned with one of the Innovation Fund priority areas.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS - $35,000 - $75,000 over 1-2 years

Who is eligible?

GA LEAs, traditional public schools, charter schools, or 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations with a current Form 990

Priority Areas

  • Birth to Age Eight Language and Literacy Development,
  • Coordinated Community Services,
  • Elementary Mathematics Teaching and Learning, and
  • Positive Learning Climate.

Additional Criteria

Given the focus of the Community Partnership Grants, eligible organizations must partner with another organization (e.g. government agency, RESA, college or university, etc.). However, the school district, charter school, or nonprofit organization must submit the application and serve as the fiscal agent and lead for all grant funds.
